I have so much to say about why Sarasota is the BEST PLACE to live! In case you missed it, U.S. News and World Report ranked us as the #2 best place to live in the country (#1 for retirees!), plus we are top-ranking as one of America's fastest-growing cities.
There is always something great to do here, whether you want to attend a performance or enjoy fine arts, take advantage of our outdoor recreation options, or dine out at one of our fabulous restaurants. 
 

From performances at the Van Wezel and our renowned ballet to fine art exhibitions at the Ringling Museum and live comedy and drama at our local theaters, your calendar can be filled throughout the year with world-class entertainment.

There are incredible restaurants throughout Sarasota, many with an emphasis on fresh-sourced local seafood. One of my favorites is the Greek restaurant, Blu Kouzina, on St. Armands - al fresco lunch with a little shopping stroll around the circle afterwards is a great way to spend the afternoon! I also love going to the farmers' market downtown on the weekends. It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning and stock the pantry with the freshest Florida produce.

Outdoor options are a year-round favorite, of course. Water sports like kayaking, paddle boarding, and jet skis are a great way to take advantage of the Bay, plus sunbathing on our incredible white sand beaches is hard to beat!

Sarasota's affordable cost of living and the many options for buying a home are also huge draws. Our lifestyle is convenient and comfortable - the perfect combination that has put SRQ at the top of the list for best places to live.
