Sarasota's Skyline is Changing

Sarasota Magazine is featuring the changing skyline and the many new construction projects that are happening and coming soon in Downtown Sarasota and nearby neighborhoods. 

 

Downtown Sarasota is in the middle of a building boom! The prolific construction underway and in planning will add more than 1,700 new homes to the existing inventory of condos, townhomes, and single family residences. That's an increase in housing inventory of more than 14 percent from the current number of homes.

There has been a huge influx of residents to our region and to Downtown Sarasota in particular as people migrate from other states in pursuit of the lifestyle amenities here. In addition to the cultural appeal and relative affordability, Sarasota's walkability and urban lifestyle alongside the exceptional natural beauty of Sarasota Bay creates an idyllic draw for buyers of all budgets. While most of the new construction projects are coming at luxury and ultra-luxury price points, there are properties like Villa Ballada and Collage on 5th starting below $1 million.

The variety of sizes and styles goes along with the varied price points... from waterfront towers to boutique scale on Golden Gate Point and smaller builds in Gillespie Park, these new projects represent a diverse range of building styles in several niche neighborhoods. There's a lot to consider when buying new construction, including the timeline, long term potential equity, and customization.
